Privacy

PorchKit is a one-person product with no ad network, no data broker and no analytics suite watching you build. Here is everything it stores, plainly.

What stays in your browser

While you build a guide, everything you type is saved in your own browser's local storage — the guide text, your WiFi details, your check-in instructions. It is not sent anywhere until you ask us to publish or back it up. Clearing your website data for this site deletes it, and we cannot recover it for you.

What we store on our servers

• Published guides. When you publish, the guide's content is stored so it can be served at its permanent link. You control what goes in it.
• Draft backups. If you back up a draft, it is stored behind a private link and deleted automatically after 90 days of no activity.
• Your purchase email. Stored as a one-way hash so a licence can find the guides it owns. We do not use it for marketing.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never touch our servers. We receive the purchase confirmation and the email address you entered at checkout. See Stripe's privacy policy.

Guest guides

A published guest guide is served as a plain page with no cookies, no trackers and no advertising tags. Guests who scan a host's QR code are not tracked by us.

Our own usage counts

We count how many people reach each step of the signup flow and which channel they arrived from, so we know what is working. These are plain counters: no identifiers, no cookies, no page paths, nothing tied to a person.

Advertising cookies

This site uses Google Ads cookies and tags to measure conversions from our ads — that is, to tell whether someone who clicked one of our ads later bought PorchKit. This runs on our marketing pages and in the builder, never on published guest guides. It tells Google that a purchase happened and what it was worth; it does not send Google your guide content.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com, or block cookies for this site in your browser. PorchKit works the same either way.

What we never do

We do not sell your data, share guide content with anyone, or email you anything you did not ask for.
